Anyone who has ever bought or sold a
home knows that it’s a team effort.
From the buyer to the seller to the agent
to the lender and the many
professionals along the way, real estate
deals are complicated transactions that
require lots of helping hands. And that
sums up the philosophy of Reinae
Kessler, broker/owner of Austin
Homegirls Realty.
“We are all about the team concept,”
says Kessler. “ I think to be a successful
brokerage you have to have a lot of
folks who are on your team. Having
relationships with lenders, insurance
agents, contractors, inspectors, lawyers, and others help us
give superior service. They are all an integral part of my team.”
Kessler points to the definition of “team” as an important part of
her company’s philosophy and says it’s an excellent way to look
at the real estate process.
“A team comprises a group of individuals linked in a common
purpose,” she says. “Teams are especially appropriate for
conducting tasks that are high in complexity and have many
interdependent subtasks. That describes us.”
With six agents, a growing real estate practice, and relationships
with experts in the insurance and mortgage brokerage fields that
she often refers to clients, Kessler says it’s the team effort that sets
the company apart.
“It’s so important have a team of supportive professionals – it just
makes the home buying experience much better,” she says. “And
keeping the business smaller and more manageable helps us
deliver superior service to clients.”
A PASSION FOR REAL ESTATE
A native Texan who graduated with honors from the University
of Texas at Austin, Kessler founded Austin Homegirls Realty in
2006 as a boutique real estate
company specializing in Austin
residential real estate. You might
say that Kessler was born to sell
real estate – she bought her first
real estate investment house in
1994 and flipped it soon after, and
that’s when her real estate obsession
started.
“Sometimes house hunting is about
the diamond in the rough or a fixer-upper, and sometimes it’s about
helping people figure out exactly
what they want, when they really
don’t know themselves,” says
Kessler is also dedicated to continuing education to ensure
she’s up-to-date about the latest in real estate law and trends.
She achieved her Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI) certification in
2006-2007; earned her Broker Certification in 2010; and
became a member of the prestigious Institute of Luxury
Home Marketing in 2011. The agents in her office also
have years of real estate experience and have earned
advanced certifications, including Certified Negotiation
Expert, GRI, and advanced training in Buyer and Seller
Representation.
“The market is constantly changing, and so is technology, and I
encourage education to all my agents,” says Kessler. “We are
constantly growing to gain knowledge so that we can best represent
our clients with what is often one of the biggest economic
decisions they will make in their lifetime.”
